Wrap your baby in a tight fabric
So it grows up straight. This old practice called swaddling is when parents wrapped their babies in linen fabric until around 9 months old because they believed it helped them grow up with straight limbs.
Hang your baby on a hook
Hanging babies on a hook was apparently a good way to keep them out of the way while you were doing some other thing. The baby was strapped to a board and could be hung anywhere. Practical!
